Is the UD Graduate School of Management accredited?
Yes! The UD GSM programs are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges
and Schools (SACS). SACS is the regional accreditation body recognized by the federal and state governments
and by other accredited institutions.
Is the University of Dallas a quality school?
UD, an independent Catholic university, has a unique mission. The land-grant concept of a balanced program
of teaching, research, extension, and public service provides the foundation for the University teaching and
research programs. UD has long been a leader in recognizing the rapidly changing global environment, and has
a commitment to excellence in international education in all its instructional, research, and outreach programs.
The University continues to make education and training accessible to deserving applicants from all classes and
groups, and maintains a wide range of research, extension, and public service programs in response to the needs
of the people of Texas, the nation, and the world.
How is the Masters of Management different from the MBA?
The Masters of Management program is a 30 credit hour program specifically for individuals who have already
completed an MBA from an accredited university. With the core graduate business management courses behind you
from your previous MBA, you are free to concentrated on advanced and specialized coursework. By adding a Masters
of Management to your MBA, you'll achieve educational diversity and add greater distinction to your academic
credentials.
Who will my classmates be?
Most GSM students are experienced working professionals, which adds a valuable dimension to the MBA/MM classes.
A high percentage of students come from outside the United States, adding a truly international perspective to
the learning process.
Why should I choose an MBA or MM from UD?
GSM does not emphasize basic background or theoretical courses. Instead, it offers highly pragmatic
programs that focus on practical realities of managerial life with emphasis on wise and effective management.
GSM differs from traditional management schools in three other ways. First, the faculty has extensive business
experience and many professors are actively engaged in business. Second, each of the MBA/MM programs provides detailed
insight into the practical aspects of its specialty. Third, our distinctive project courses give students practical
experience in solving real problems. Whether classes are taken on the main campus in Irving, a satellite campus,
or over the Internet, the same core set of entrance and graduation requirements remain.
You can expect a high-quality education whether you complete the program through traditional or non-traditional means.
What will having an MBA or MM do for my career?
The UD GSM classes provide students with a broad business education. This makes the MBA/MM especially adaptable
to multiple professional career paths. An advanced degree may lead to promotions in your current position or a
more desirous job elsewhere.
What is Distance Education?
Distance education provides students with the flexibility needed to earn a graduate level degree while
attending to the everyday demands of job and family. Business professionals with demanding travel
schedules, employees who need additional skills to advance, small business owners, and students who are
geographically isolated or physically handicapped can easily continue their education with the Graduate School
of Management at the University of Dallas. An MBA or MM degree through our online MBA/MM program offers qualified
students the opportunity to advance their knowledge and qualifications without disrupting their lifestyles.
Can I complete online courses if I am an on-campus student?
Yes, GSM classes can be taken in any combination of classroom and via internet. On campus students can take online
courses, and online students can attend classed at the main campus in Irving or one of the satellite campuses. No
distinction is made in the course delivery method when meeting program and graduation requirements.
Can I attend the on-campus graduation if I complete the online program?
Of course, and we want you to! You will be earning the same degree as students who have attended the University
of Dallas through "traditional" means. The University makes no distinction between those who have completed the
Masters programs on-campus or off-campus.
What will my diploma have on it when I graduate?
Students will receive their diploma from the University of Dallas upon completion of the MBA/MM degree program.
The diploma will state that the student has been conferred a degree of Master of Business Administration or Master
of Management from UD.
Can I register over the phone or internet for on campus classes?
Currently only mail-in, fax or walk in registration is accepted for on-campus classes. However, registration
over the Internet is accepted online classes.
What are my options for payment?
You can pay 100% during registration with cash, credit card, or check. An installment plan is also available.
This allows you to pay 33% during registration and the remaining 66% at the end of the trimester. Finally,
if your company supports tuition reimbursement, you can pay 33% during registration and the remaining 66% after
grades are issues for a "deferred tuition" fee of $25.00
When are student's grade mailed out?
Grades are mailed out on the Friday of graduation.
How do I apply for graduation?

handed out during this class.
What is a "priority" student?
This is a student who has completed 37 credit hours, or who has 4 classes left until graduation
