750ml water
1tbsp salt
1tbsp butter
250g cornmeal (about 1 cup)
1tsp paprika
4tbsp vegetable oil
5-6 slices of bacon (optional)
Boil water in a medium saucepan. Add salt and butter. Reduce heat and slowely stir in the cornemal. Cook for 10-12 minutes on mild heat until it gets firmer. Scoop polenta from the saucepan and put pieces into the large serving plate. Finaly sprinkle polenta with paprika and poor sizzling oil over it. Optionaly serve with fried bacon.
